Description
In celebration of the 15th anniversary of the release of the popular novel Spice and Wolf, the Holo ukiyo-e woodblock print, “Wolf Beauty With Cherry Blossoms, Holo,” will go on sale exclusively for overseas customers.
The print is based on new art by Ju Ayakura, who drew the illustrations for the original novels. The ukiyo-e was engraved by Kazuo Watanabe, a traditional craft artist who was awarded a Medal of Honor from the Japanese government in appreciation of his achievement. Hideo Yoshida, a printer belonging to the Agency for Cultural Affairs’ Intangible Cultural Properties Selection and Conservation Technology Association, took care of printing it.
This special edition comes with the 15th anniversary logo printed on the front acrylic panel of the frame. Make sure you check out the ukiyo-e woodblock print, “Wolf Beauty With Cherry Blossoms, Holo,” chock-full of a never-seen-before charm of Holo, the main heroine of Spice and Wolf, whose story still continues in its fifteenth year.
*The frame materials are different than those of the Japanese version.
